Embraer Family

ERJ / Legacy

With more than 1,100 aircraft sold worldwide, the ERJ range has reached the highest rank in that aircraft category. This internationally-recognised platform has played a key role in the development of EMBRAER's corporate airplanes. For this range of aircraft, SONACA produces the rear fuselage. This major part of the aircraft fuselage includes both engine pylons.
SONACA is extremely proud to have been selected by EMBRAER from the very beginning of the programme to produce these components that play an essential role in the aircraft performance and flight safety.
Sonaca designs and also produces the fuselage centre section, located behind the cockpit, which includes the aircraft access door.
Finally, SONACA designs and produces the fixed leading edges of the aircraft wings, as well as their de-icing system. The leading edges are designed and manufactured thanks to SONACA's unique processes and know-how and using ultra-light metallic materials combined with SONACA's outstanding expertise in aircraft wing de-icing system.

170/175 and 190/195 family

As soon as those ambitious projects were launched, Sonaca was selected by EMBRAER to design and manufacture slats for the overall aircraft of the ranges. SONACA is also in charge of designing and producing the fuselage centre section. In this programme, SONACA is responsible for the design and manufacturing of the fixed and moveable leading edges and their associated systems.
